Talons locked.

The day started off as quiet as could be. The best I came up with were a pair of Greenshank flying around...
...and a pair of displaying Meadow Pipit.
The afternoon produced a real highlight moment. A pair of Golden Eagle were flying around, one above the other, when the lower bird made a rapid change of direction.
I didn't see the other bird coming down with talons outstretched!
The birds had their talons locked and they started to fall...
...spinning around in the air...
...and then parted...
...before flying off together with a Raven escorting.
One of the Golden Eagles wasn't happy with the Raven being there so a show of talons...
...soon had the Raven moving off.
There wasn't going to be anything to top that so the Hen Harrier got barely a glance.
A bit later on after the excitement had died down some, equally awesome, Redwing were seen...
...and a Great Northern Diver that is almost in summer plumage.
