Early start

An early start on an exclusive tour saw us heading out for particular targets. It was nice to see there were plenty of young Siskin around some feeders.
Otters were top of the list so we checked a few areas before picking up this one working it's way along the shore...
...and another a bit further along the road.
We managed to pick up another two Otters but both of those were busy getting their heads down for a sleep. Both types of eagle were seen well, a Peregrine had a go at a Golden Eagle and Northern Wheatears were everywhere.
We got good views of Common Crossbill flying around and we were lucky enough to get one perched at the top of a conifer.
The Great Spotted Woodpeckers are feeding young so there are regular sightings of them flying back to the nest and foraging.
