A good start.

Prior to the tour starting I spotted what looked like three Hedgehogs in a pool.
With two of the guests on board we saw a single Otter. After getting the last of the guests for the day we started the tour properly with a WT Eagle and then, luckily, another Otter! A feast of raptors next after a shower of rain - 2 WT Eagle, 1 Golden Eagle, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrel, 4 Buzzard, 1 Hen Harrier and a Tawny Owl for good measure! We continued with the raptor theme in the afternoon when we located a young WT Eagle being pestered by a Buzzard.
Other highlights included Dunlin, another Hen Harrier, Mountain Hare and plenty of Grey Heron.
A skein of 42 Pink-footed Geese were migrating South...
...as we waited for another Golden Eagle to appear. Not just a good start but a good finish too!

That shot of the squirming otter somewhat explains the Loch Ness myth!!

Hi Gill - thanks for the comments on the recent posts. If you look at that photo it's three Otters.
