Golden wonder

A bit of a trail around to get an Otter at the start of the day was worthwhile and the rest of the day turned out pretty awesome too. Plenty of waders on show with Golden Plover, Dunlin, a single Knot and Greenshank all on view. A Reed Bunting was a nice find too.
An adult Wt Eagle...
...was keeping a close eye on it's youngster. The encouragement to get the young bird in the air worked...
...but it's a bit like learning to ride a bike, you always have to have a look where you have been!
Distant views of Golden Eagle were had while we looked for an Adder.
Just as we were leaving the area the Golden Eagle decided it wanted a better view of us.
It gave us a proper checking out...
...before heading back to it's hunting ground.
Another juvenile WT Eagle was seen later in the day - quite keen to get into a sheep carcass that was on the hillside.
A couple of Mountain Hare were seen and plenty of Common Buzzard sitting around at the roadside.
