Another dreich day but what a day it was! We started with a juvenile WT Eagle and a superb male Bullfinch. A group of RB Merganser were in the bay.
A single Whimbrel was seen in the company of three Curlew showing the size difference very well. Otter was high on the list as usual but even more so as the guests had never seen one before. We picked up an Otter quite early and got some superb views - a real WOW factor!
Two Hen Harrier were seen at the next stop as they gained height to drift away from us.
Cracking views of an adult WT Eagle perched in a tree as the drizzle continued to fall.
We viewed the roosting Tawny Owl before heading off and getting another soaking at lunch. A Common Whitethroat showed well before we picked up a Grey Seal at the coast.
A couple of Golden Eagle were picked up as the weather started to clear. The landscape was starting to appear as the clouds started to break up so we finished the day with some awesome views and a few more sightings. Another 2 WT Eagle were seen, 5 Golden Plover and a Mountain Hare. Stunning views of another Otter seemed to be enough...
...but the adult WT Eagle perched in a tree was a fitting way to finish - WOW!!!
