Fried

Just a quick catch up...The weather hasn't been the best over the last week but the sightings, as usual, have been good. Tuesday gave us cracking views of an Otter eating a fish on the shore.
Other highlights from the day were two WT Eagle, three Dippers, cracking views of RB Merg, a couple of Gannet, a single Barnacle Goose, Mountain Hare...
...and a brief view of a Golden Eagle at the end of the day.
Thursday was a day of excitement for other reasons as we started the day with a tremendous hail storm.
Next came the thunder and lightning and the reason for the title of the blog. Watching the sparks flying out of the phone sockets was bound to spell trouble!! A fried card in one PC and a fried hub put paid to any contact with the internet for a spell. Obviously I have access now but I'm still waiting for a new hub to arrive. The weather did bring a few birds though as a couple of Swallows appeared plus a smattering of waders. A WT Eagle was seen in the afternoon too.
Friday we peered out of the window to find the cloud down to ground level! A cracking day for Otters and we manged to get seven in total.
Other highlights were a GN Diver, a couple of Dipper, quite a few Golden Plover on the move...
...and the ever present Mountain Hare.
Hopefully the hub will turn up soon and I can get back to normal!!
